My favourite was also Wagon Train, Diane, and the delectable Flint McCulloch played by the handsome Robert Horton. I would'nt have missed an episode for anything Diane, i adored Flint and it was'nt quite the same if he was'nt in an episode.

Re: fave tv programmes
Sabbi.......I wrote to him and joined his fan club when I was very young and posted it to Burbank studios after seeing it in a magazine..I got a letter back along with a badge with his photo on.
When I went to California years later the highlight of it all for me was when we were invited to be in the audience of a talk show at ..............Burbank Studios!!! and I was actually standing outside the very address I'd posted my letter to all those years ago as a child I never realised he had red hair till I saw a coloured photo of him ha ha!! he's still alive and has his own website where he'll reply to some of the messages...

is'nt life funny Diane, bet you never thought for a minute you would be at the Burbank Studios, never mind in them. I was just looking at photographs of Wagon Train on the net there and it's hard to believe Robert Horton is 86 years of age this month ( Yesterday in fact) I never wrote to him myself, but i did adore him, i thought he was the most handsome man.
Can i ask you Diane, having noticed your avatar, would i be right in thinking you are an Elvis fan? now that's where my heart lies. I absolutely adore him. When i was young i used to get the Elvis monthy magazine and i read it from cover to cover. My bedroom walls and ceiling were covered in his photographs as well. I wish, when i got married i had asked my mother to keep the magazines for me, it was many years later i learned she thought i would'nt want them any more and threw them out. Anyway Diane, i just wondered if you were a fan as well. Lovely to talk to you and i've no doubt we'll run into each other often, speak to you soon. xx

Re: fave tv programmes
No Sabbi I never ever dreamed I'd even get on a plane when I was young let alone anything else ha ha!! those were the days when long distance travel wasn't heard of where I came from and a trip to the seaside every year was a treat!
I was actually a Cliff fan when I was in my early teens and my best friend was the Elvis fan lol I got to love Elvis at the time of his come back tour, I mean, how could anyone not love him!! look how gorgeous he was then, plus I loved his music and by that time I'd gone off Cliff years since..Sorry Kaye lol ....I especially love 'Memories' and am so envious of the girl sitting besde him on the steps as he looks into her eys omg!! ha ha ha!! I'd have collapsed!
I went to Graceland in the 90s when Elvis's aunt still lived there and I stood for a photo taken with her in a rocking chair in the background
That's such a shame about the mags being thrown out...a similar thing happened to me when I left home and my autograph book full of signatures (The Beatles as well) went missing along with a drumskin signed by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders which they gave me.
I had younger twin brothers.....say no more lol
Lovely talking to you too and see you around xx

Re: fave tv programmes
Tonight i'm looking forward to one of my favourites, X - Factor, always did like a good laugh, then when the final 12 are picked i love to see how far the one i like gets, i've been quite good at as well, i picked Alexandra Burke very early on to win and she did, last year i picked Joe McEldry to win right from the auditions, not this year so far though, nobody has really inpressed me yet, still it's early days.
