Public Transport

The Government keep trying to get us to use public transport but is it really the best option? Whats your views on the transport system we have today? Do you use them or do you prefer to travel in your car?

I use public transport and I think a lot of other folks would use it too if it wasn't so expensive

I have always used public transport because I don't drive but always walked to most places I'd be going to if it wasn't too far...
Now I have a bus pass I'm on the bus all the time FREE lol me and my sister go all over the place now we don't have to pay, Scarborough, Bridlington etc: but I caught a bus with my three grandaughters last week after the pictures and I was asked did my 11 year old grandaughter have a pass!! otherwise I'd have to pay full fare for her...she doesn't even look 11 [aparently they have to have a pass once they turn 14] so I refused point blank and it cost me 3 child fares of £1.30 each for a distance of around a mile.
Until they reduce the bus fares no one will use them..the train to town from my house is half the cost of the busfare..

I know Thomas had to have a bus pass at 11 diane when we lived in West Yorkshire or pay full fare. It's ridiculous really, they cant even get a paper round until they're 14 so how do they think they can afford to pay full fare. In my opinion they shouldnt have to pay full fare until they actually leave school
